Ms Joanne
Ms. Joanne
Piano Teacher
Miss Joanne has been a music educator for over 30 years. Recently retired from the Roslyn School District as head music teacher, she holds a B.A. in Music Performance and Music Education and a Masters in Elementary Education. She is also an active adjudicator for piano and voice NYSSMA Festivals, and a member of Nassau Music Educators Association.
Ms. Ariana
Dance Teacher
Studying dance since the age of 9, Ariana has mastered ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, Afro-Caribbean and tap. Utilizing her dance gifts as a means of healing & uplifting those in need, she has performed in numerous charity events. Currently, Ariana continues her dance studies at Hofstra University, where she has performed in works choreographed by Dyane Harvey-Salaam & the renown Mickey Davidson.

String Teacher / Stage Manager
One of Prodigy’s veteran teachers, Greg began playing professionally at 8 years old. He started piano lessons at 3 and violin at 5 years old. An accomplished musician, he added guitar, bass, viola, cello & drums to his repertoire. Teaching for over 30 years, Greg specializes in NYSSMA prep for all stringed instruments (levels 1-6). In addition, he is a 4th degree Black Belt & teaches children & Adult Karate classes at Prodigy.
Ms. Melanie
Dance Teacher
One of Prodigy’s newest teachers, Melanie has a very strong passion for dance. Starting at 5 years old, she danced at Divine Rhythms and continued there for 9 years. She worked her way up to competition dance at Kovacs Studio of Dance where she competed for three years. Prior to beginning work as a professional dancer, she continued her studies at Broadway Dance Center.
Ms. Kate
Piano Teacher / Kindermusik Educator
Kate has a Bachelor’s degree in music education and is currently in her final year of graduate school at Molloy College, where she will receive her Master’s Degree in music therapy. Although proficient on several instruments, piano is her primary, and she has been teaching lessons for over 10 years. Kate also teaches Kindermusik classes, combining her love for music with her interest in early childhood education.
Ms. Maricielle
Ms. Maricielle
Dance Teacher
Ms. Maricielle began dancing at Nancy’s Dance Factory at the age of 3. She joined their competition team and became well versed in many different styles of dance such as Jazz, Contemporary, and Lyrical.  From 2010-2012, she co-directed Outburst Dance company, an urban hip-hop dance company in NYC and competed with them in the tri-state area. She currently studies different styles of dance at Broadaway Dance Center, House of Movement and other studios in New York City.

Mr. Jahshawn
Dance Teacher
Jahshawn loves to teach hip hop and has been dancing since he was 3 years old. His appreciation for different types of music has brought an expanded creativity to his teaching. He has performed with KG Group Entertainment and the nationally acclaimed Uniondale Rhythm of the Knight Show Choir. In addition to teaching dance at Prodigy, he plays alto saxophone, piano and drums.
Mr. David
Mr. David
Drums, Woodwinds & Brass Teacher
Born and raised in NYC, Mr. David played Carnegie Hall at only 11 years old. He attended Laguardia High School for Music and Art and after graduation, attended Queens College Majoring in Music. In addition to the instruments he teaches at Prodigy, he plays piano, trumpet & flute. He has worked with or taken lessons with such notables as David Weber, Howard Hirsch & Tito Puente.
Mr. Agustin
Drum Teacher
Agustin was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and started playing drums at the age of 15. He has shared the stage with such luminaries as Roy Hargrove, George Braith, Steve Carrington, Bruce Edwards and Marcus MacLaurine. Already an accomplished musician, he is currently enrolled in Berklee International Music, majoring in composition, harmony and arranging.
Ms. Peggy
Ms. Peggy
Dance Teacher
Ms. Peggy started dancing at the age of 7, training in Tap, Acro, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Jazz, Ballet, Musical Theatre and Pointe. She danced at Center stage/CS Dance stylez. She was a part of the competition team for about 11 years there. She was also a Russian dancer in the Harbor Ballet Theatre’s production of The Nutcracker. She has been teaching dance for about 13 years now, earning several medals, high score and judge’s awards for her choreography.
